New Mock Printz Titles

After our Mock Awards in January, we listened to your feedback and are working to incorporate it into the program. One thing that many participants noted was that the lists came out so late that it was hard to find time to read the books before the discussion. So, to try to give you more time to read, we are going to be releasing some lists in sections.

The first batch of nominations go to the Mock Printz discussion. Remember, if you books that you would like to see added to a list, please nominate them!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
There Is No Dog by Meg Rosoff
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

We Listened

Thank you so much for your participation in the 2012 KC Mock Awards. We are already hard at work preparing for the 2013 event. Using your survey responses we are changing a few things about the way we run the KC Mock Awards, in the hope of making them even better for you.

For many participants, time was the major reason they couldn’t read some titles on the nominated lists. It seems like there is never enough time for reading! So in an attempt to give participants more time to prepare for the event, we are opening nominations early!

We will release two lists of nominated titles for each award. The first list will be released in early July and will be for books published January 1-June 1. The second list will be released in October and will cover books published June 2-December 31.

To stay up to date with current news about the awards, please join our mailing list. You will be notified when a new nominated list comes out, and when we have decided on a date and location for the 2013 KC Mock Awards.

In the meantime, happy reading!
